Brief
The garden was overgrown and uneven with a lot of rubble to be removed. The client wanted a simple design, providing a blank canvas to develop over time but also something that was tidy to look out on from the kitchen and conservatory dining area and low maintenance.
Design
This is an example of our Draw and Build Service for simple garden updates with a lower budget. New steps from the conservatory lead onto an extended patio area beside the house, where there is space for a corner sofa and table. A step down from the patio leads to the moderate sized lawn and to a gravelled area at the side of the garden. A gravel path along the curve of the lawn provides for occasional vehicle access to the garage and to the storage area behind the metal screens.
Options for developing the garden in the future were presented to the client. These include a pergola over the side gravelled area, planting borders across parts of the front edge of the patio and in front of the screens and a planting border within the lawn to provide some height to screen the garage.

Build
The patio was laid with Bradstone Natural Sandstone in Silver Grey and the lawn edged in Bradstone Woburn Rumbled setts in Graphite. The metal screens were provided by the client to match the boundary fence.
