Landscape Draw And Build Process
This service is aimed at clients who know what they want in their garden, and therefore do not need the services of a garden designer. However, in order to produce a quote, scaled drawings are required to establish materials quantities and for the construction teams to work to.
In essence, the “drawing” part of the process is carried out during the same visit to the client’s property as the survey and consultation. There is minimal design input from our consultant, who is there to purely put the client’s ideas down on paper and to produce a scaled drawing that pricing and construction can work to.
Generally a “Draw and Build” project costs between £8000 – £25000, including drawing and construction. However, this is hugely influenced by the garden size, number of features, topography, the complexity of build, access, and the cost of materials used.
1 Enquiry & Proposal
Following your enquiry there will be an initial discussion with a Bosworth’s Landscaping consultant to establish an outline of the work to be done. We will request photographs of the garden to aid this discussion. A Fee Proposal will be produced and upon acceptance we will arrange a site visit.
2 Site Survey & Consultation
A consultant will visit the site to carry out a survey of the garden and discuss what you hope to achieve. This is not intended to be a design service but the consultant may make suggestions where appropriate to guide your thoughts.
3 Landscape Design Proposal
After the consultation visit we will commence with the production of scaled drawings for the team to work to. Using the information gathered at the Site Survey, a scaled Design Layout Proposal will be drawn of your garden. This will then be used to put together a construction specification and quotation.
4 Landscape Construction
This phase is where our teams start to convert your outside space, one of the most exciting parts of the process as the old makes way for the new. Following approval of the Design Layout Proposal and Quote we will schedule a provisional date to carry out the landscaping work. During the build you will be assigned a team leader who will oversee the work and communicate with the Landscaping Office and yourself to keep the project on track. Our teams will work to the plans drawn up in the previous phase.
6 Completion
And finally the job is finished to our exacting standards and the project signed off with your approval. All you need to do now is sit back, relax and enjoy your new outside space.
