Set in the heart of the countryside just outside Oakham, this project involved the transformation of a rural garden surrounding a beautiful stone house. With the recent installation of a swimming pool, we were brought in to complete the rest of the garden — the goal: to create a space that feels both modern and traditional, blending seamlessly with the character of the home and its tranquil surroundings.

The swimming pool is finished with sleek porcelain paving, chosen for its clean, contemporary look, and detailed with bullnose edging around the internal perimeter to provide a refined, high-end finish. Complementing this, we introduced modern oak sleepers throughout the garden — a nod to traditional materials, but used in a way that adds structure and sophistication.

Carefully designed planting brings the whole space to life. Lush borders wrap around the entire perimeter, filled with a variety of colourful plants and trees to create visual interest from every angle. The planting softens the clean lines of the hard landscaping, adding depth, movement, and seasonal variation.

This garden now offers a perfect balance: crisp, modern features sit comfortably alongside natural textures and traditional touches — a peaceful, stylish retreat in a truly idyllic location.

• Initial Preparation and Site Works.   Pool construction by Panache Pools and was completed before the garden works began. Once this was completed the entire garden area was dug out to create the necessary levels for patios paths and lawn areas.
